Dacotah Paper Co. has broken ground on a 55,728 square foot addition to their primary distribution center in Fargo. Upon completion, Dacotah will have over 280,000 square feet of office and warehouse space in this location. This addition will be the third building expansion Dacotah has completed since 1987. With their 5 divisions in Minnesota, this brings Dacotah’s total office/warehouse capacity to approximately 343,000 square feet.
This marks the 115th year of continued growth for Dacotah; success from distributing trusted brands, and quality products from highly reliable vendors. Improving technology, increasing product offering, and servicing a broader customer base, has led to Dacotah expanding their service region over the years. Company president Matthew Mohr, states, “We are fortunate to accommodate the needs of our dedicated customer base. Our additional warehouse capacity will enable us to maintain our service excellence.” Completion of the expansion project is slated for October 2021, with no interruption to Dacotah’s delivery or customer service.
Dacotah has over 160 employees, many individuals with 10, 20, 30 and 40 plus years tenure. Founded in 1906, Dacotah Paper Co. is a fourth-generation family-owned wholesale distributor stocking over 8300 items consisting of a variety of business-related products including janitorial supplies, janitorial equipment, cleaning & chemical solutions, foodservice supplies, packaging supplies, office supplies and safety/first aid products.
Dacotah owns and operates 5 divisions in Minnesota: Spectrum Supply, St. Joseph/St. Cloud, Bemidji Paper & Janitorial, Bemidji, Range Paper, Virginia, Johnson Paper & Supply, Minneapolis, and Teigen Supply in the Rochester area. Products are primarily delivered via Dacotah’s fleet of 50 semi-trucks serving customers in a 7 state region encompassing North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, and parts of Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska.
